Martin Luther King Jr. Day
What's Up Everyone?
If you don't already know today is the day my family, and friends over in the United States celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
He was actually born on January 15th, 1929 in Atlanta, Georgia. Thanks to my frequent trips to Atlanta when I was younger, and my Aunt pushing to educate me on Black History, as well as local historical attractions I was brought to the house where he was born. I was also privileged to visit the rest of Dr. King's memorial site, which includes his tomb, educational centre, and much more. If you ever get a chance to go to Atlanta be sure to check it out. You can find more information on it here.
Enjoy what's left of his day. Do yourself a favour, and do some reading on Martin Luther King, and other historians like him (outside of Wikipedia if possible). Education is the key.
On a side note my cousin, and a friend actually recorded a track called "M.L.K. (2012)"
[Audio playback available after the break]
If you have time, check out their YouTube Channel. Also, please add your comments to this post below. Include track feedback.
Thanks!
Much Love!
